This subject came up at a Halloween party I was at at last Saturday. All of them thought they were seeing stars (star link) move in a coordinately manner. I tried to explain that's not possible.
"If our sun was the size of a pea, the Earth would be an indistinguishable speck about two and a half feet away (an arm length). The ex-planet Pluto would be a football field (300') away. The nearest visible star, Alpha Centauri, would be in St. Louis (400 mi from Ft. Wayne), so motion at that distance means little to nothing even at the speed of light."
Nobody believed me when I told them it was probably Elon's Starlink satellites, except one old-timer.
