If you are wondering why so many Americans are stressed about their finances these days, just look at the numbers. The Social Security Administration just released national wage statistics for 2022, and the figures that they have given us do not paint a pretty picture at all.

I'm sorry for all who are suffering, provided they didn't vote for Bidenstein or Obongo, but oh boy what I could do with 41k a year.

My adjusted gross income went up about 50% this year when I started taking my SS retirement. I'm just a bit above the median US income of $31,000 now, but I'm still pretty much at the same place. Inflation and a 50% raise in my ObamaCare health insurance from last year have eaten up any gains. President Pedophile's tax hikes will probably have me moving backwards. I'll know soon enough when I see my tax-babe Christa in a few months. I love that gal. I couldn't face paying taxes without her. Last year, my appointment was on St. Patrick's Day. She had me doing shots of Fireball. She knows me too well. LOL.

How much does the IRS gouge you?

How much does the IRS gouge you?

That's a good question. My income is from three sources:

1. Investment income (dividends).
2. 92t IRA withdrawals (automatic monthly).
3. SS retirement income (started August 2023).

Chase Private Client withholds a percentage of the first two for state and federal income taxes. I don't remember what the percentages are offhand. My tax-babe doesn't know what the SS is going to do yet, mostly because she didn't have the info of what Homo-Pedo's tax increases are going to do when I saw her last August.

Short answer to your question, I don't know. I don't really want to know. It'd make me feel sorry myself, and I'm afraid it'd make me hesitant to help my Godson and his daughter and my friends who need help. I bought a used car last summer so I don't have to drive my work truck around all the time and risk a VaxxZombie wrecking it. This will be the first year in ten that I've spent more on myself than everybody else.

If I had to guess, I'd say a total of 25% go to state and federal income taxes.

They make it all so damn complicated, and few people ever notice what a plague it is on everybody involved.

They make it all so damn complicated...

I think it was 2019 (2018 tax year) that TurboTax had a glitch and left off all the Obama reporting required data. They didn't have a way to remediate it so I found a local tax joint close to me. Christa (Tax-Babe) fixed it for not too much and refiled.

Later, the bastards that were in charge of my younger severely and profoundly retarded and handicapped younger sister's trust fund that died ~Aug2018, sent me and my older sister checks for the residual of Carol's trust fund ($63k/ea), that should've gone back to the government.

Back to Christa. She refiled again, I had to write big MF'n checks to the feds and the state. She didn't charge me any more. I think she's the only person that has ever had to save my life, and I'll never forget that. She's been in charge of my taxes ever since. I love her and she really likes me. I think she thinks I'm one of her children, even though I'm older than her.

I went to see Tax-Babe today with a Christmas bouquet of flowers and fancy girly candies for her and her crew, which is mostly women. She and her receptionist went out in the parking lot to look at my Clown Car (2010 Smart) and laughed their asses off. Gals love that thing. I had my sister pick it up in Chicago for me several months ago. Phinehas and one of her contractors brought it to Ft. Wayne on a lawnmower trailer. That was the funniest things I've ever seen. I paid $3,500, I've got close to $10k in it now getting the mechanicals up to snuff. It's a Mercedes, after all. Low miles, 89k.

It's got just enough room in the back for $330 worth of groceries in the back if you put the flowers, fancy candy, and bread in the front seat. Everybody that sees that car can't help but to smile. I'm a big guy now, ~240 6', it's roomy inside, and the doors are long enough that my broken back doesn't have problems gettin in and out.

and few people ever notice what a plague it is on everybody involved.

I do. I wish the things I do for folks were tax deductible, but they're not.
