I talked to Dakmar while we were carrying on on 4um Saturday night. Dak told me that my videos were starting in the middle rather than at the beginning. I told him that I wasn't using the "start at [time]" feature when I copied and pasted the "embed" code and didn't figure out what was going on until this morning. I had 'company' with me Saturday night and we were PWI (posting while intoxicated).

It was still doing it this morning so I went back in "edit" and looked at the embed code. Apparently there was a ...&start=38" being inserted in the code for some reason. I went back and looked at all the videos that I could edit and replaced the 38 with 0 and that fixed the issue. I can't edit original posts so they're still screwed up, only posts within threads can be edited.

I'm not sure if it was a EweToob issue or a glitch with my browser. I wouldn't think that a random code could be inserted in every copy and paste at my end by my browser, but I don't know that much about computers. I restarted my computer a little bit ago and that seems to have corrected the issue for now.

Sorry for the issue, I hope I didn't piss anybody off too badly. I'll try to keep a lookout for that in the future.

I had noticed your YT posts doing that but didn't think it important enough to raise cane over as it's an easy thing to reset. I had assumed you were just in the habit of checking the box for an alternate start time when copying the embed code, maybe not realizing what it does. But again, no big deal at all.

I noticed many of the YT clips Esso posted started in the middle, or even at the end. I know there is an "embed from current time" menu option, and figured Esso didn't notice. I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all scold. :)

I didn't notice that if I use that option, which I seldom do, that it was staying that way. For some reason now EweToob was saving the start time code and subsequently putting it in all the following embeds. That's something new on their end.

The only way to clear it is to close the EweToob tab and re-open it. When I post a video now, I'll play a couple seconds in preview to make sure it's starting at zero or where I want it to.

It's actually "Copy video URL at Current Time" vs "Copy Embed Code", so I have no idea what the glitch was. Your audience would only see a link to URL, but Embed shows a video ready to play. I conflated URL with Embed - there is no Embed At Current Time. I'm a dumbass, but I swear many/most of the vids you post start in the middle :)

When I do stupid shit at work there is always someone there to tell me what I fucked up. :)
