There's a very strong anti-SSN case that is now before the Idaho Supreme Court. Oral arguments will be this coming Thursday, June 8th. Larry Lewis has taken on the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles himself in an attempt to secure a license without an SSN for 3+ years running, even though the hardship of serious illness within his family late last year. But Larry is still carrying the torch, and Attorney Herb Titus, who saw victory with David Carmichael in a substantial case against the US Navy (and who is also aiding Michael New in his bid to contest orders to serve in the United Nations) will be before the Idaho Supreme Court in next week's hearing. I'm sending in $100 to aid Larry in this effort. It's needed, but more is needed. Herb Titus shouldn't be paying airfare and other expenses out of his pocket to take on these cases. Please consider thoughtfully whether you can send a contribution, and I honestly thank you regardless of what you decide. David Carmichael has sent occasional notices on this Idaho case over the past 6 months, and they can be found on the http://yahoogroups.com web site. (Search for americanchristianlibertysociety). If you are interested in SSN related issues, I recommend subscribing to that list. The latest development on this case favors Larry, in which the Idaho Attorney General asked the Supreme Court to have the case sent back to the Motor Vehicle Department so they could assign Larry an SSN without making him actually provide one directly. The Supreme Court rejected that (rather silly) suggestion. Herb Titus also submitted an amended brief citing a US Supreme Court ruling this past March which upheld the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This gives even more strength to Larry's case. What follows is a note today from Larry Lewis. Again, I'm sending in $100. Please consider whether you are able to send some additional contribution yourself. Also know there are 2 kinds of patriots. Those on the front lines, and those sidelines supporting them. Right now I'm on the sidelines so this is my role, and I know first hand that it's not easy for those in the field. As Harold {Last Name Redacted} so concisely and eloquently told me in a recent e-mail, i can't put better: As this case comes to its climax we should pray: This is my "line in the sand." I got driver licenses in states that didn't hassle me for years. Calif - then Nev then Tn, finally idaho. But there is a time to stop hiding your light under a bushel. Please suppport this effort with your prayers and finances, as God directs. Mr. Titus will not fly out here 3000 miles for free. I am sure there are those of you who think that having a lawyer is not a good thing. I have had one twice in my 55+ years. Once to write a mining lease and now, Mr. Titus. I know the pros and cons. Both experiences were very positive. Without the near death of my wife at a time (Nov 14th, 2005) it appeared I was about to lose 3-1/2 years of process of standing for what I believe is correct, and the near nonoperational computer, I would probably have never met David Carmichael, and by extension the 95 or so of you. Remember I asked for more time of the Supreme Court, gave them I believe 7 reasons, some of them life or death, and they told me in all caps, THERE WILL BE NO MORE TIME FOR ANY CAUSE OR REASON. That's when and where David and Herb became involved. I had no ability to proceed in any kind of quality manner befitting a child of the King, and my financial ability to purchase counsel at this level was near nonexistent. Please don't wait to see if we "Win" to send some green or other colored financial help. I don't know where we are in history. It appears to me that we are on a steep and slippery slope of judgment to destruction of the corporation called the United States of America. This isn't about winning something we can all perceive as a slam-dunk to the "other side." THIS IS ABOUT THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST. Does he have a kingdom now? Does he daily administer judgment and execute it toward both his followers and those outside the Kingdom? Does he call us to stand for HIS truth? Does he call believers to bear one another's burdens? Do any of you have tithe money? Any offerings? God's work, done God's way will never lack God's provision. Before God, determine if this is God's work and whether you are called alongside to help or just sit idly by and read an occasional e-mail from far away. My experience with David Carmichael has shown me that he is a humble, unselfish servant of the only King that matters - King Jesus Christ. Please, if you haven't, get a copy of his book, "Faith, the Final Frontier." {He will give it to you if you ask} It is and amazing story. I can't give you any neat links to places to get R.J.Rushdoony's book "Tithing and Dominion," on how the Kingdom is to be financed. My computer crashed 3 or 4 days ago. And, yes, I had not properly backed my files for months. In addition to the ongoing help from David, I just had to ask him to buzz off a copy of all the files since we met in October. I have nothing since then. As for me, I believe this is the first and only significant public thing I have ever stood up for. As Esther said, paraphrased, "Maybe this is the time and purpose I was born for." I have stood for little that cost me anything and fallen for nearly every Darwinian and antiscriptural and heretical lie that came down the pike in my Scriptural ignorance and lukewarmness toward God. Praise be to God for his mercy and lovingkindness toward us who were yet his enemies, and later on, those who were lukewarm or at least not consistent in their stand for Him as Lord.
