Twelve held in Canada terror raid
BBC breaking news graphic
Twelve men have been arrested in Toronto on terror charges, Canadian police have confirmed. They are also holding five youths.

Police said the men were planning to commit a series of al-Qaeda-inspired terrorist attacks in southern Ontario.

They had obtained components used in bomb-making, including three tonnes of ammonium nitrate.

Officials said the group "posed a real and serious threat. It had the capacity and intent to carry out these attacks."

Ammonium nitrate is a commonly-used fertiliser.

"To put it in context, the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City that killed 168 people was completed with only one ton of ammonium nitrate," said Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) assistant commissioner Mike McDonnell.

"Our investigation and arrests prevented the assembly of any bombs and the attacks from being carried out," he added.

The RCMP and other government security agencies have been conducting a lengthy investigation involving 400 people.

Searching Google news on this "Netanyahu Canada", turned up this:

http://www.pr.com/press-release/11642
Hasbara Fellowships, a program spearheaded by Aish International, educates and trains university students to be effective pro-Israel activists on their campuses.

http://www.cjnews.com/viewarticle.asp?id=9343

And this: Netanyahu: Hamas are Iran's proxies

Hasbara can send students to pro-Israeli camps but the terrorists must first dismantle their "suicide kindergarten camps,"

Only thing of significance I found is that Bibi met with Olmert just before Olmert visited the WH about 2 weeks ago.

And this is interesting too:

Police said those arrested on Friday were all Canadian residents "of different origins", most of them citizens - some were students, some employed, others unemployed.

The suspects appeared to have "chosen a violent ideology inspired by al-Qaeda", said Luc Portelance, assistant director of operations for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), Canada's spy agency.

BG posed a great question over at LF.

Just where did these guys get 3 tons of ammonium nitrate?

Did they casually stroll into the local Ace Hardware store and say: "...make a copy of this key and we'll take three tons of this here."?????

In 1947, the UN created a perpetual war and named it Israel.

Right, so easy these days. I'm tracking this story for any mention of Iran, so far none.

Up a few posts, is this link that I found on BBC's "On this day":

Consider the links found here (including the link to Kurt Nimmo saying the same thing) while reading the timeline of June3 to June6 1982.

British Brigade: More False Flag Terrorism

Obviously, the Brits and Americans—and now Canada, under the leadership of the neocon PM Stephen Harper, where a terrorist plot was recently "foiled" in Ontario—are ramping up fake and false flag terrorism as the next phase of the neocon "clash of civilizations" agenda moves forward.

Israel has a trade surplus with Canada. Israeli exports to Canada, mostly high-tech products, machinery and polished diamonds, totaled C$505 million in 2005. Israeli imports from Canada, mostly transport equipment and chemical products, totaled C$300 million.

Because it was the RCMP who sold it to them.

That's what I thought as well.

You would think they might have just a bit more imagination.

The thing about ammonium nitrate is it needs to be in an enclosed space, such as a drill hole in a quarry, for the gas expansion to do its job and displace the desired target, i.e. the rock.

This is why OKC was such a complete fraud. But the average sheeple has no idea about these things.

I have a hobby background in this area from collecting mineral specimens in various quarries and mines. It was necessary to know about the explosives used and that you stay away from a loaded field or stope. I've known a few mining engineers and they all say that it would have taken a tractor trailer load (40 tons) of ANFO to do any serious damage and then it would be mostly blown out windows with very little structural damage; not at all like the sheared columns we saw in OKC, definitely a sign that cutting charges were used. I've also known someone who was in UDT in WW II and he said much the same thing about explosives.

Wrapping one's ignorance in the flag is not a solution to the problems we face. Sadly, blind patriotism is an emotional tool the elites have used successfully in the past.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

This piece was written shortly after the attacks of 9-11, God Bless Americana!

"To be nobody-but-yourself - in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can ever fight; and never stop fighting." E.E. Cummings

Hi BTP, thanks for the flag and your response. I've been awol for a while here - though I lurk often!!

Your Goering quote is a popular one today as I used it this am on a Canadian forum I moderate (yes I am VERY unpopular with the right wingnuts and lackeys). True words from that gent - to say the least!

WRT the ferts - 3 tonnes isn't very much - maybe two or three palettes. We order it often in the business I am in. Heavy stuff. Currently I have my boss almost convinced to stop buying it off Israel - we are looking for another supplier as he is now realizing just how wicked the Israeli administration really is. And we order alot!!

I agree with you completely wrt to OKC - that seemed so wrong to me when it was happening - of course now that I know a little more about it - sheesh makes ya really wonder how some people can even find the neural power to tie their own shoes!!

I'm off to read your link, thanks again!

Hi christine!! Thanks for the warm 're-welcome'. I've been lurking, but have been real busy with a Canadian forum I have been helping to moderate the last few months!

Gotta do what I can to clean up my own backyard eh? Have found some great stuff here though that I have reposted, and I must say you guys have done a great job on your left hand link section.

You'll see me a little more now that things are a little quieter with work and much I can do at home! Hope all is well by you and yours!
