Requires special fuel which is not available. jet engine not good at ground level if there is dust in the air. You have to stop the tank and change the filter. US sent them M777 Howitzers but no gun barrels for replacement. Gun barrels have to be replaced frequently.

American military hardware is designed to generate the most revenue possible for the arms makers. The balance is between making the most profits vs what Congress can be convinced to pay. Constituent jobs are what those in Congress are most interested in.

The US is soft. Real war is what hardens a country and the US hasn't seen a real war in too long. Not since WW2, or maybe Korea.
