Hills... Good to keep in mind.
Though to be fair, having an adapter seems like a no-brainer fail on this guys part. Unless the thing costs $399.

It was an unwanted rental, not having an adapter is understandable.
Toyota Chairman HAD ENOUGH & REJECTS EVs Future!

Unless the thing costs $399.

My guess is $1,399.
