As soon as Argentina’s President, Javier Milei, landed in Israel, he went straight to the Western Wall – and this was his reaction.

His prayers turned to tears, he put a note in the Western Wall, and he then hugged Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnish, his personal Rabbi, who has accompanied him on this three-day trip.

Wahnish is expected to become Argentina’s ambassador to Israel.

Milei also confirmed that he will be moving Argentins’s Embassy to Jerusalem.

Thank you President Milei for your support of Israel and the Jewish People!

This is not altogether surprising because Milei himself is Jewish. It would seem like that should be fairly noted so readers don't assume his sentiments are purely driven by agreeable politics.
