"Michael Lacey, an award-winning investigative journalist and co- founder of Backpage.com, was found guilty of international concealment money laundering, which could land him in prison for up to 20 years." NN SEZ:
This is bizarre and alarming. I oppose prostitution but here for some reason our selectively puritanical Dummacrat politicians and corrupt courts have destroyed what appears to be an exact equivalent of Craigslist over it. They've put its creators through living hell with triple jeopardy and other prosecution-persecution, driving one of them to suicide.
It seems the authorities initially tried to smear the team with implications that child sex was being sold through their backpage.com site, but they've never been charged with that and and it was thrown out of the proceedings after causing a mistrial.
It appears the goons are ultimately seeking to get rid of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 because it's crucial to online press freedom:

The media's silence about this long-running First Amendment struggle is indeed strange -- has to mean it's as major as described in the video. Cue the Twilight Zone theme: the defendants are gliberal media "heroes" whose work has brought over 100 awards and multiple Pulitzer nominations:

Something doesn't add up, but it definitely stinks to high heaven.
