Remember too that when Hitler wanted to send the Jews to Madagascar, they turned him down on that offer in favor of Palestine, which had a minority Jewish population and was an Ottoman area.
The reason they wanted to go to Palestine was the Balfour Declaration of 1917 which was presented to the Zionist Organization of Great Britian and Ireland. That Declaration promised the Jews a national homeland in Palestine.
BTW, during WW II in Ukraine the German rear guard, Einsatzgruppen, were shooting Jews in the back of the head and dumping the bodies in ditches. There was also a big Jewish massacre at Babi Yar.
A lot of this history is floating around in my head. Am thankful to recall it because the Meningitis wiped out so much of my memory. ;)

I hope you were safe from the fires ... we've had them here in the Panhandle of Texas and they were devastating. The area I live in was fortunate to have avoided them. Many others weren't so fortunate.
All things considered, I think the country is under attack and feel pretty sure things are just heating up.
