FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Police Department is warning residents of a man attempting to force young females into a white van around Fort Wayne’s south side Monday evening. According to a release from FWPD, at 4:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of Lillie Street, an individual in a white work minivan attempted to force a girl into a van. Shortly after this incident, the same vehicle attempted to do the same thing in the 7500 block of Mill Run. Both times bystanders were able to scare off the perpetrator.
FWPD released very little information. The man is described as a white male with a medium build, in his late 40s, bald, with a beard. The vehicle was described as an older, smaller, rusty, white possible work minivan.
If anyone has any information regarding the above incident, such as video camera or doorbell footage, they are being asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department. If anyone sees a vehicle matching the description, please contact police.
