The pipes in Glen Canyon Dam that release water from Lake Powell to feed Lake Mead are too damaged to function, officials said. There will be no spring release, threatening water supply to Lake mead, a reservoir that supplies drinking and agricultural water to more than 30 million people in California, Nevada, Utah, and parts of Mexico.
