I had a friend years ago that hated Judas Priest because of the leather/biker image, ridiculed them for being gay or something... Of course as soon as I showed him Halford was unabashedly gay he though JP were heroes or something. It was all about identity politics, Halford was always gay, but somehow even though my opinion of him never changed I became the bad guy because I made fun of him for riding a motorcycle on stage and dumping the clutch, causing it to stall.
