Title: Benjamin Netanyahu: Not such a bad guy!; The leftist media despise him, but the truth is that he is arguably the greatest world leader of the last fifty years

In the words of Shakespeare: Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. Such is Benjamin Netanyahu.

Presently, the world press is tearing this man down, but he is arguably the greatest world leader of the past fifty years.

Does he have his faults? Yes! Who doesn’t?

But Netanyahu has had to navigate his country’s security through the decades when even his “friends” (Clinton, Bushes 1 & 2, Obama) wanted to enforce policies on Israel that were self-destructive. And his country had little margin of error if things went wrong.

Soon after he announced a new world order, George Bush, Sr. started pressuring Israel to accept the Oslo process at Madrid in 1991. The Arabist James Zogby has praised Bush Sr. for doing so.

“Bush established consequences for bad behavior, and he got results,” said James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute. “It can happen again.”

Bush Sr. was praised for being even-handed between the Arabs and the Israelis, but he was in bed with Arab oil money and interests. Netanyahu’s so-called “corruption” pales by comparison.

Clinton thought he had brought peace in 1993 with the Oslo Accords. That was a failure.

Bush Jr. was also part of this Bush-Saudi oil interest. His administration would later encourage Israel to allow the 2006 elections in Gaza (with the approval of Jimmy Carter) that would get Hamas elected.

Scanning the source article, it seems to argue Netanyahu is supposedly a great leader because of his strength in standing up to foreign powers is putting his country's interests first.

But if that is the metric that defines leadership greatness, then I would say he is well short of the greatness of Adolf Hitler. Hitler absolutely put Germany's interests ahead of those of foreigners, and he stood up very firmly in that regard.

Hitler absolutely was a great leader by the standards of the article. He was an outstanding orator, and he rose to become the leader of a powerful country, in some 10 years bringing it from economic ruin back to that of a world power.

So yes, that's very definitely a sign of extremely capable leadership.

If you want to disagree with the articles stated merits of greatness that it uses to praise Netanyahu, feel free.

I mean, since committing genocide is being left completely out of consideration, then it pretty much means Hitler was a great guy. Right?

Hitler

Hitler had polyps on his vocal chords when younger and was deathly afraid of cancer.

His personal physician was Dr. Otto Warburg. Warburg was a Nobel Laureate. He was studying cancer, and he was also making speeches against the Nazis.

The SS wanted to take him to the camps, but they received a personal phone call from Hitler telling them, "Allow him to go back to his work."

Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine for discovering a cure for cancer. But Hitler refused to allow him to pick it up because of the war.

If he never picked it up, he forfeited, and it was awarded to someone else.

But the AMA covered this up to keep people on expensive and ineffective chemotherapy.

There is no money in a cure, only in treatment.

Some people beat cancer but it frequently returns with a vengeance.

Cancer killed both of my sisters at the age of 59. :-/
