Even if horrible, I don't worry about things that may have occurred a dozen times in the last 20 years, that I have never actually seen, and never will see. I am 40 times more concerned about horrible things that occur thousands to millions of times each year in the USA and elsewhere in the world.
Unless they are locked up 24, are never in public, let alone attend school, there are no sex trafficked children in the USA unless they are willing participants. To be otherwise is not possible because if the child was in public and told someone, anyone at all, the police would, within a few minutes, be on the case like a “like a chicken on a June bug.” Even if a child says nothing, a sad child will attract attention and people will ask question and call the police if they believe a child is being harmed or in danger of being harmed. People call the police even if they see a father holding his child's hand in the park. That is how indoctrinated 95% of all people are in the USA.

It is not that they have a choice. It is that if they attend school or even if they are seen in public people will ask question and the traffickers will be arrested. There are not 2 people in 100 that will not go out of their way to protect children and/or call the police if they have even the slightest suspicion.
People call the police even when they see a father holding his daughter's hand in a park. In the USA it is extremely risky for men to be around young children. If even male family members are questioned by the police, what child trafficker would risk being seen with children?

If you own a big mansion, it may be possible to keep children locked up in the mansion and never go out in public. However, they couldn't trust the household to never talk or make an anonymous report to child protective services.
I don't doubt there are countries in the world where there are sex trafficked children, but it is almost non-existent in the USA.

That is not something I followed so I didn't know what that is all about; and I wouldn't believe mainstream media anyway. Typically, if it is what they want to talk about, mainstream media misrepresents and makes mountains out of mole hills, and they never say anything about mountains if they don't want the public to know about it.
However, I just now Googled and it was an private Island so that might not be applicable to what might occur in the states. For example can the public visit the island, what kind of people worked on the island, and is there a child protective services that they could call?
Moreover, I don't know their ages, if it involved one or two underage girls, or if there were dozens or hundreds. Did it involve use of force or were the girls willing participants? I realize there is underage sex; an underage girl may work for a pimp but that is not the same as abducted by force and held by force. If a 14 year old girl is willing to sell her body for money and many are, a large percentage of older men will give her money to fuck her; however, that is not my understanding of sex trafficking.
