The Russian army has reportedly experienced a record number of casualties in May, as Ukraine's Ministry of Defense estimates that 38,940 Russian soldiers were lost over the past month.

"Russian losses hit a record in May," Kyiv noted, marking the highest daily casualties since the invasion began in February 2022.

British Reports Confirm Heavy Losses

While casualty numbers can be uncertain, especially from warring sides, British sources have also reported significant Russian losses in Ukraine.

The UK's Ministry of Defence stated on Friday that Russia likely suffered over 500,000 casualties since early 2022, despite Western analyses often estimating lower figures than those provided by Ukraine.

"Russia's average daily losses in May exceeded 1,200 – the highest in the war so far," the British government noted.

Unprecedented Daily Losses

In mid-May, Ukraine claimed that Russia lost 1,740 soldiers in a single day, underscoring the intensity of the conflict and the heavy toll on Russian forces.

The staggering losses reflect the immense pressure along the frontlines and the challenges faced by undertrained Russian personnel.

Strain on Russian Forces

The reports of record losses come from multiple sources, indicating a broad consensus about the dire state of Russian military operations.

Obviously any stats provided by either Ukraine or biased NATO countries will be high, and perhaps very high. The west still hasn't commented on the alleged big hit by Russia on an unofficial NATO personnel staging area some 4 days ago, but the US granting Ukraine permission 2 days ago to strike native Russia with US weapons is an indication that it's true. That strike, if it happened could also be the motive for releasing this new claim of obscenely high casualty rates at a time when Ukraine is sending women and forced street conscripts into battle with 3 days training.

Any pressure Putin is under may be most reliably indicated by his recent speech to the Russian people telling them that everyone needs to carry on with their duties, whatever they are, as though they themselves were on the front lines. Putin knows better than the western public the truth of the strike they carried out and, if true, what it means, and one thing it would mean is there won't be any peace any time soon because the west is now totally pissed off.

We know the doo doo has hit the impeller blades.

And one thing we uncovered is the Uke's hit the rail line that was transporting artillery shells from North Korea. And when the Russians went to the alternate rail line, the Uke's hit that one also. ;)

Lies. The only one with 1,200 daily losses is Ukraine.

According to Zelensky: 1) Russia fires 10 as many artillery shells as Ukraine/

2) Russia drops 32,000 Glide bombs on the frontlines every month. These are 500 and 1,500 Kg bombs which is 1,100 and 3,300 pound bombs.

3) Russia fires 300 Lancet loitering drones every month at artillery, tanks, APCs and radar.

4) Russia has more FPV drones than Ukraine as so many of them are stolen and sold on the black market. They also stole the money that was supposed to build Kharkov defenses.

5) Russia also fires lots of cruise missiles, Iskander missiles and Geran drones at known targets.

The first time I heard that phrase I was 11 or so, it struck me as a bit funny, but also slightly vulgar. It was my future step-father that said it, this was around the same time I learned that some people think there is a 'D' in the word business

Fast forward 50 years, Mom is still married to him, I got over my squeamishness about curse words, yet some lingering initial cultural disconnect exists. Don't get me wrong, we get along fine, and I am thrilled that he is there to love and care for my Mom, and that she has someone to love and cherish.

This post isn't about that, I am wondering how this whole "Diversity is our Strength" bullshit gained such prominence is popular culture, when it's clear that not even people raised in similar circumstances (race/income/education/neighborhood) should be denied right to associate (or not, lol) with whomever they damned please.

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits.” - William S Burroughs

It in fact has no prominence, kind of like six million.

kind of like six million.

And there are still some searching for those old Nazis. But they are all dead and gone by now.

And poor John Demjanjuk, a Cleveland steel worker, was kidnapped by the Israelis and taken to Israel and put on trial as being Ivan the Terriible, the concentration camp guard.

The Israeli Supreme Court ruled he was NOT Ivan the Terrible. But they ruined the guy's life. :-/
