To: Zipporah (#0) you know, when you think about it what is worse between these 2? 1 - giving out amnesty to all the illegals or 2 - modifying future immigration policy to allow 100 million legal immigrants in next 20 years. in washington they are considering both of these ideas. I suggest to you that the 2'nd item is much worse than the first. and I further suggest that we should give amnesty to everyone who has come here and held down a job and wants to be american citizen. but it is especially unjust to send back children who have only known this country and no other. Hard cases? there's probably a couple of million children who are illegal aliens and have never lived anywhere else. this is completely normal. and you're openly saying that the law should not consider this huge number of people. here where I live in phoenix you can't travel half a block without finding a whole family of illegals where all the children are illegal but have never lived anywhere else. the schools are full of this. if only the tv would explain to you reality. it's not a hard case, it happens to be very common. if the law can't consider what is common and deal with it, then don't you think that is bad law.
