Elected politicians should be punished much more harshly than private citizens for similar offense.

8X: POTUS, Governors, Senate/HOR (Federal - leave it up the The States how each see fit to deal with scoundrels)

4X: POTUS Cabinet Members, State Governors - but only if convicted of felony in Federal Court.

2X: Any sworn Law Enforcement that clearly and egregiously abused their authority, minor bureaucrats that...well...do anything that minor bureaucrats do as a matter of course.
