The Paris Olympics began in earnest on Friday, 26 July with a grand opening ceremony at the river Seine in Paris. The ceremony included artists and singers from across the globe and the programme was hosted by Kelly Clarkson. One of the acts of the ceremony witnessed a rider on a pale horse parading along the river Seine which captured the eyes of many at the event and beyond. In a post on X, a user posted the picture of the rider on the pale horse which soon was associated with Death itself at the Olympics.

From my understanding pale in this sense is a color description, kind of a cross between piss yellow and puke green. Anyone who has seen a boil erupt will know the color and its reek of death.

I worked at Mary Ann Bakery in Chicago in the 70s. A lot of the help there was Greeks. That is where I learned to swear in Greek. They had high hopes for me because I could speak English. There was a band named DETH that performed at Medusa's in Chicago. It was on Sheffield about a mile south of Wrigley Field. It was on 2nd floor and was a long flight of stairs down to the street. If you had to throw someone out, you couldn't get them out of there if they were out of control. One show I grabbed this guy for trying to get onstage. He was pretty wild going out with his arms raised up. I got him out the door at top of stairs. I tried to take his legs out. It didn't work.
