I miss my Dad. I wish I could've had the privilege to talk to him as an adult. I spent my 15th birthday at his funeral service. You can't shut dead people's eyes like in the movies. That's what the blankets are about. Closing dead peoples eyes how do we do it ? Some fucking medic in Beirut told me after the fact there's some muscle that retracts when you're dead. I believe him, I couldn't close my mother's eyes. I used the blanket on her bed at the hospice in 2014. She had no vitals. I touched her eye just to be sure.
