Regarding the speech itself, Orban began by addressing criticism from Brussels about his visits to Russia and China. "We received criticism from Brussels, and they condemned the peace mission. Brussels is also offended because we call what they do a pro-war policy. They think they support war for the sake of peace. This reminds us of Lenin, who said the state dies with the end of communism. Just as we didn't understand Lenin's thesis, we don't understand the people from Brussels at meetings," Orban said. He reiterated his hope for Trump's victory and that it would bring peace. "The Ukrainians have already gone mad, now only the Europeans need to come to their senses before it's too late. If Trump is not elected President of the USA, there will be problems," Orban opined. He also emphasized that Ukraine wants to become the eastern border guard of the West. "The importance of their existence has increased in their eyes and in the eyes of the world. This has led them to a state of action, which we, non-Ukrainians, perceive as an aggressive demand. This is a power that causes them unprecedented resistance," emphasizes the Hungarian Prime Minister. Regarding EU policy, Orban expectedly voiced a series of criticisms. "European policy has failed. Europe has abandoned protecting its own interests. Europe does nothing but unconditionally follow US foreign policy, even at the cost of self-destruction. Sanctions have made the Union's economy uncompetitive and handed it over to the USA. European policy has also failed because the center used to be the Paris-Berlin axis. However, now the London-Warsaw-Kyiv axis has become more dominant. Changing power centers is not a new idea. It's an old Polish plan," the Hungarian Prime Minister stated. He also spoke about the role of the West in what he calls the dismantling of states. "Central Europe consists of sovereign nation-states with a common value system. Nation-states have a biblical basis. They want to get rid of ethnic homogeneity, which is the foundation of a nation. Brussels is still under the occupation of the liberal oligarchy," Orban emphasized. According to Orban, part of protecting sovereignty means that Hungary does not integrate but follows its own path. That price will be high. Europe will be forced to accept that eastern member states pursue an independent foreign policy," Orban said.
