We worked The Grateful Dead several times in Chicago area. One show at Soldier Field I was on Stage Right, Back Stage.

The van pulls up and Jerry Garcia jumps out. This guy on the local crew nails him for an autograph. Band Security was screaming, "Security! Get this guy out of here!"

I grabbed him and told him, "Disappear until this guy cools off."

He was telling me, "Do you know what this signature is worth?"
