People try to get around the curse (sorrow, thorns/thistles, and sweat) by paying others to grow their food for them. But this is where problems arise...

...if others grow your food, they can control your food.

...chemicals are used to mass produce food for the masses.

...the rural farming economy/culture is destroyed.

At this point, if/when the grocery stores suddenly close, the majority of Americans will die.
