Those ships and the jets on the aircraft carriers are there to shoot down incoming drones and missiles.
The Houthis are busy building Mach 7 missiles that can sink US ships.
The Iranians have long range radar so they can detect aircraft taking off in Israel. No sneak attacks allowed.
The Iranians have the Mach 12 Kinzhal missile that digs a hole 98 feet (30 meters) deep where its target used to be.
The Iranians also have the Mach 9 Zircon cruise missile so they can take out ships threatening them.
The Iranians have the S-400 system to take down incoming US and Israeli jets.
The Iranians have the Murmansk BN Electronic Warfare system that can jam US and Israeli communications and controls so those US ships could not fire missiles at incoming objects.
The Israelis also probably have the 400 kilometer range R-37 air to air missiles so they can mount them on drones and fire them from positions outside Iran to take down incoming jets.
An F-16 cannot take off unless the tarmac is free of debris including dust. 12 Mach 14 missiles set to burst over Israeli airbases would damage lots of jets in addition to making it impossible to launch jets .
This war will be lost. Israel might try nuclear war but Pakistan has said they will give Hydrogen bombs to any interested party if Israel uses nuclear weapons on a Muslim nation.
