The LiIon battery in the ChromeBook I have on my nightstand started swelling up to the point you could see a hump in the keyboard and the lid wouldn't close all the way. Sling Blade told me it'd be OK to remove the battery and run it on the charger/AC adapter without a battery. I don't need a fire breaking out 30 inches from my head while I'm sleeping.

I think yesterday morning (14th) report of a Tesla semi fire on I 80 in california, fire crews used 50,000 gallons of water over a two-day period with both East and West lanes closed.
