According to a recent report from the pest control company Terminix, the Circle City ranked 19th in the top 50 rodent-infested cities. The findings: The report identifies the cities where rats and mice are most frequently reported, highlighting ongoing challenges in urban rodent control, Terminix said. It was generated using service data that came from over 300 of the companys branches between Aug. 2023 and July 2024 mostly focusing on key metro areas. Apart from being viewed as pests, Terminix wrote in a press release that rodents can carry diseases, contaminate food and even damage residences. Terminixs Technical Service Manager Emory Matts, BCE, CCFS added onto this. The more exposure rodents have to humans, the more comfortable they may become with exploring our environments, especially when they reach larger population sizes and are tight on resources, he said.
