Reliability, or how consistently a vehicle performs without experiencing mechanical failures or issues over time, remains a key factor when choosing which brand of vehicle to purchase. This graphic, via Visual Capitalist's Kayla Zhu, visualizes the predicted reliability scores of various automakers, as ranked by Consumer Reports. The data is updated as of November 2023. Asian Automakers Lead The Pack Lexus and Toyota ranked first and second respectively as Consumer Reports’ most reliable car brands in this latest edition of the rankings.

I'm kind of surprised to see Mini near the top and VW and Mercedes near the bottom. I don't know shit about cars anymore other than they're all lookalike SUVs or shitbox sedans like Kim's. Her car is so non-descript, I couldn't tell you if it's a Toyota, Hyundai or Kia. It's white. I think they all are. MINI is BMW. Only thing it has in common with Issigonis' Mini (Morris, Autin, BMC, Leyland et all) is the name and poorly done, derivative styling. Scotty K had to fix headlight on one, the wires were something like would be used on model train diorama to power street lights. Issigonis Mini: A front wheel drive car that light must be a hoot to drive. The Clown Car is surprisingly fast considering it only has a 1,000cc 3 cylinder motor. Not sure about the handling, I don't push it too hard. Not sure about lift throttle oversteer, I'm getting too old to get killed again. The CC is like that. Maybe 24 or 26ga. I can't back a trailer, but I bet she can't It must have been somewhere between 1996 and 2000, but I was still working in an office and went out to smoke in my Capri ragtop (the shitty Australian Mazda P.O.C. version) when the bank on first floor got robbed. I was trying to light a cig (it was really windy, even inside the car, lol) when I heard a commotion, which I was certain I should investigate once cherry was firmly established. Commotion intensified, I could hear that there was some sort of threat so I got out of the car and saw two guys lizard-running toward the other end of the parking lot. I glanced over at my co-workers to sort of see if they were ok and maybe aske what happened. Situation was self explanatory at that point, so for the briefest split of a second I thought maybe fire up the Capri and chase them, but good sense kicked in and I tried to get a good look at their car as they fled. Yellow jellybean looking thing was the best I could come up when talking to FBI for the first and only time my in life. Maybe a KIA? I could probably come close to the color, would start at canary yellow, but make/model...whew? Oh yeah, I forgot Nissan. Kimmy's car might be one of those too. She's working tomorrow so I don't get to see her tonight. Bummer. I bet my broken back would love that. That doesn't say much for how well it handles, lol. I don't drive aggressively, but if there is a lot of traffic I do my best not to dawdle, and sometimes that requires me to step outside my hypermiling regimen. The Corolla handles darting through city traffic beautifully. The Mustang I had required much heavier inputs, and much more finesse. Push the gas in the Corolla and the RPMs go up as the CVT adjusts. To get action in the Mustang usually required enough pedal to kick it down a gear. I should ask Chip if the CC has tachometer wiring in the dash. Some trim levels had a clock and tach mounted on top of the dash in the center. I'm kind of hesitant to use the paddle shifters not knowing what the engine is doing. I've got too much invested now to blow it up.

It's a 5-speed manual gearbox with an automatic clutch (no clutch pedal) I've heard it called a semi-automatic. Ah, the VW-matic thingy. I completely forgot about that.
