The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced Wednesday morning that its fighters launched a Qader 1 ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv.

According to the group's statement, the HQs is responsible for the assassination of Resistance leaders and the waves of pagers and walkie- talkies explosions, which killed dozens and injured thousands of people across Lebanon.

Hezbollah said the operation was "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their valiant and honorable resistance and in defense of Lebanon and its people."

I read a claim that each Iron Dome missile costs $150k, which is believable, and I've seen vids where they are launching them one after another after another. And they use these to shoot down very crude rockets that doubtless cost a tiny fraction of that amount to make. At least in the case of Hamas. Economics will play a part in wars, especially when our own Military Industrial Complex is now overcharging enormously for everything. Something that happens when businesses operate in a market free of real competition for many decades with the US Congress which spends money that doesn't belong to them.

Overprices hardware means 1) Not as much of it is made as would be ideal for war or potential war conditions and 2) The military brass will be more hesitant to risk it in real combat (i.e. would they really risk sending an F-35 stealth fighter on a mission over enemy territory, or worse yet, a B-2?)

Though when it comes to Israel, cost is no obstacle. Israel will simply ask for more and they'll get it, no matter the cost as, being even farther removed from the US taxpayers than Congress is.
