The 41st anniversary of the Beirut BLT bombing is coming up on the 23rd. I don't like anybody over there. I know and you know that Israel will be around long after the US unless the nukes fly. All bets are off at that point. I hope it doesn't happen.
As far as Horse goes, I just ignore him most of the time. Whining about Israel 24/7 is pointless, that's why I stay out of it and don't like it.
One of my few remaining local friends is a character named James "Solly" Sollenberger (Solly's coins, 260-747-0500). He's helped me through several problems, and I hope he's there when my neighbor's young wife dies (end-stage cancer). That's gonna be a heavy lift (probably 7 or 8 oz Au). I hope my former classmate David O. McComb (D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes) Takes some pity on me and gives me a break. God knows I've given him enough business over the years.
