The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), an umbrella group of Iran-backed armed factions, announced on October 17 that it had carried out two drone attacks against Israel in support of the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
In separate statements, the group said that it launched suicide drones at two vital targets in southern Israel, one of which is located in the Red Sea port city of Eilat.
The attacks were carried out in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity [Israel] against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly in Gaza and Lebanon, the group added, vowing that operations against enemy strongholds will continue at an increasing pace.
The group also released a video showing the launch of what appears to be a single Iranian-made Shahed-101 suicide drone.
