Well, I had another nice weekend on the border. 15 were all that got popped by our group, but that’s 15 less you will see outside the local Home Depot. Friday evening, we did a couple of hours of monitoring the border from an elevated vantage point, but didn’t see any future voters waiting for their presidential escort. On Saturday, we manned the same point for 7 hours, but didn’t see any movement. We think that they have moved east and west of that location due to the fence that the Minutemen installed. The barbed wire hasn’t been cut, although the American flag they posted when they built it was missing and probably desecrated.

That evening, one of the locals had us over to their house and cooked us a spaghetti dinner. We really appreciate all they do for us. After that, we monitored the area around the house we were at. There had been a lot of Border Patrol activity in the area and we figured that we might help some of these lost folks find their way back to Mexico. Sorry to report we didn’t encounter any future voters, but I did track a mountain lion for about 15 minutes. I told the guy I was with that since I was faster than him, was there anything he wanted me to say at his funeral if the mountain lion suddenly appeared.

On Sunday, the group’s founder and I went looking for new observation areas east of the existing border fence. We found a nice area about 50 feet north of Mexico with a northern vantage point. The benefit of a northern vantage point is the illegals and their guides don’t tend to look behind them as they head north. There are two super highways that the illegals are using in that area and we can monitor them both from one location and direct the BP to where they are headed.

After that, as we cut brush toward our extraction point, we came across a house that was built by a Darwin award winner. The house had literally fallen apart since he built it like a stack of Lego’s and didn’t stagger the cinder blocks for structural support. Since I like to break things, I helped one of the walls fall over into the rest so that it wouldn’t feel lonely.

The photos are of Mexico, a suspected drug staging point, the house, and in the distant photo, a Mexican prison, or as I say, a prep center for future day laborers.

Until next time, have a great day, thank a teacher if you are reading this, and thank a veteran if you are reading this in English.
