A barrage of six rockets targeted the US occupation base at the Conoco gas field in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported on Tuesday. The base, located in the energy-rich Deir Ezzor region, has been a focal point of tension due to the ongoing US military occupation of the region and the looting of its resources.
A field source told Al Mayadeen that four rockets successfully hit their targets inside the military base at the Conoco gas field in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The source also confirmed that loud explosions were heard inside the US military base. According to the source, the rockets primarily targeted the radar station within the Conoco gas field base.
