The lefty prosecutor of the Georgia county where Laken Riley was allegedly murdered by a Venezuelan migrant will be looking for another job after being soundly defeated in her re-election bid. Democratic District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez, whose circuit includes liberal Athens-Clarke County and conservative Oconee County, was trounced 60%-40% by Republican Kalki Yalamanchili Tuesday. The defeat was part of a tsunami of soft-on-crime progressive prosecutors and pols — many backed by left-wing kingmaker billionaire George Soros — booted from office. Poster Comment: The smaller county is 81% White. But the larger county, Clarke has twice as many people. It is 54% White lots of Blacks and 11% Hispanic. She is Hispanic and was trounced. Yalamanchili, a former prosecutor in the circuit for almost five years, ran as an independent candidate. The incumbent, Deborah Gonzalez, a Democrat who served one term as district attorney, lost in both counties, although the vote tally was close in Athens, where Yalamanchili received just under 52% of the vote. However, he ran strong in Oconee County where he received slightly more than 76% of the vote taking in 19,846 votes to 6,092 for Gonzalez, according to results posted with the Georgia Secretary of State. The Yalamanchili surname originates from the southern part of India, specifically within the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a traditional Telugu surname
