Yemen’s Armed Forces announce striking a military base near the city of Jaffa in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile in a “high-profile operation.”
“Rocketry Force carried out a high-profile military operation targeting the Nahal Sorek military base southeast of Jaffa,” the forces’ spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement on Monday, Yemen’s al- Masirah television network reported.
Saree identified the missile deployed during the operation as a Palestine-2 projectile.
“The strike was accurate, resulting in a fire breaking out in the vicinity of the targeted location,” he added.
According to the spokesman, the operation came “in support of the oppressed peoples of Palestine and Lebanon, and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistances, and as part of the fifth stage of [Yemen’s] escalation [against the Israeli regime].”
