Yes they are. God commanded it. You will see it if you don't die first. Nothing you can do about it.
I highly doubt even the Bible makes that claim. The Jews wrote the Old Testament though, so anything is possible. They made themselves the "Chosen People" and claimed God spoke through them, and extremely naive people believed it.
For the record, the Old Testament was written by true Israelites: Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, a hand full of prophets...certainly not by the eastern European imposters who call themselves Jews of our modern day. The Jews of today are gentiles who have stolen the identity of ancient Israel. True ancient Israel was "chosen" simply to be the conduit by which God could enter the world as a man and become the Savior of humanity.

Mildly off topic, but I was looking at a map earlier today and trying to understand what could possibly have been so important to the ancient Greeks and Persians (for example) that they would assemble armies and army paraphernalia to go fight someone so far away? Were the ancients actually that daft as to do the bidding of tyrants?
I think yes. People were cruel, hostile, taking whatever they could in the short life they had. If they didn't believe in God, why not just kill and take from others? What would it matter? In fact, they'd be stupid NOT to kill and steal.
But in the context of this conversation, why would farmers and NPC townsfolk just decide to forge weapons, gather horses and just generally go batshit crazy to conquer a land that takes an entire decade just to get to? This gets us back to my brooding on deeply embedded human nature.
A Christian would tell you that such actions are the results of a fallen human nature. "Fallen" meaning that human nature is not behaving as God intended, because humans have divorced themselves from God, to do their own thing. By their God given free will...they've chosen violence (for any number of reasons: hopelessness, greed, anger, hatred, etc.)
