Mildly off topic, but I was looking at a map earlier today and trying to understand what could possibly have been so important to the ancient Greeks and Persians (for example) that they would assemble armies and army paraphernalia to go fight someone so far away? Were the ancients actually that daft as to do the bidding of tyrants?

Take a look at Limeyville and football AKA soccer fans, Glassgow and Manchester United a bunch of hooligans. One would think they were just like a mob of negros after the super bowl.

But I am serious about human nature. Almost every early civilization referred to themselves as "The People" or "The Human Beings".

I suppose you'd have to look carefully at what each civilization was saying. Does it ring true? How does it compare to what other civilizations have said.

Someone has to have an answer to the fundamental question...right?

I think yes. People were cruel, hostile, taking whatever they could in the short life they had.

If they didn't believe in God, why not just kill and take from others? What would it matter? In fact, they'd be stupid NOT to kill and steal.

When all civilizations reach the same conclusion is it one of the following?

1. Facts
2. Common sense
3. Some sort of understanding of why being pleasant in the public sphere is generally more productive if one's goal is a high trust society.

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. People were cruel, hostile, taking whatever they could in the short life they had.

But in the context of this conversation, why would farmers and NPC townsfolk just decide to forge weapons, gather horses and just generally go batshit crazy to conquer a land that takes an entire decade just to get to?

This gets us back to my brooding on deeply embedded human nature.

A Christian would tell you that such actions are the results of a fallen human nature.

"Fallen" meaning that human nature is not behaving as God intended, because humans have divorced themselves from God, to do their own thing.

By their God given free will...they've chosen violence (for any number of reasons: hopelessness, greed, anger, hatred, etc.)

Well, if you are talking about God's dealings with mankind in the Old Testament, it would be wise to listen to what God said to you.

Remember, in those days, the whole human race was acting terribly...brutalizing each other without mercy. Burning babies alive, that kind of thing.

So, if a way were to be made for God to be born into that brutal world, some bad folks would have to be replaced with some halfway tolerable people. Give the kid a fighting chance, know what I mean.

holy text...commands same to conquer

vs.

follow their conscience

I got one for ya...

God told King Saul to destroy the Amalekites, everything they had, including men, women, children, infants, cattle, sheep, camels, and donkeys. Blot out the memory of them.

Well, Saul didn't do it...he spared King Agag and Agag's property.

Saul followed his conscience instead of obeying the holy text.

Kicker: if Saul had followed God's instructions, there would be no Rothschilds today, no genocide in Gaza, no usury on the American people, scarcely any wars, etc. etc. etc. (and no Rocky either, although he would have found some other avenue of evil to follow no doubt).

Follow conscience...or God's instructions...you decide.

I'd say it was King Saul that wished to do that, so he had Samuel write that "God" told him to it.

To this day they use that verse to justify genocide against those they don't like.

That verse is a big reason I can't and don't believe the Bible was "inspired by God"..

God didn't need any help in "smiting"..

This is exactly the outcome the Rothschild's are aiming for.

The Rothschilds are Edomites. Amalek (founder of the Amalekites) was the grandson of Esau (founder of the Edomites).

The Rothschilds are proud bearers of the Edomite name.

They mis-use Scripture to maintain their grift...and to bring the Scriptures into as much bad light as they can.

Edomites/Amalekites are sworn eternal enemies of God. Don't know why...it's what they willingly and knowingly choose to do.

Btw, if Saul were able to tell Samuel what to write, I think he'd tell Samuel to write something positive about Saul. Instead, Saul has gone down in history as a major F'up.

I made Jim take the center console thing out of his Z28 so I could sit next to him when we went down the road. He put a lot of work into that including cutting carpet out from under the drivers seat to cover the hole.

He had to get a bunch of gold bath towels to make the center as high as the seats. He got more than one blow job with that. I straddled him one time when we were coming home from Cedar Point while going down the road and did it.

No. That's not the end of the story when Jim posts that video.

Jim was involuntarily arrested and placed into a psychiatric lockdown because a woman he was sleeping with that was mad at him told the police that he was trying to commit suicide. He was arrested and taken to Parkview Hospital in restraints and held until he was transferred to Park Center.

He was released to the bitch that had him admitted back to his house. AaaaGhhhhhh!
