This is an example of why I don't believe in religion. I believe in spiritual truth, but it's up to each person to find that truth him or her self. Seeing world history in all its ugliness indicates dark forces have been at work here for millennia.

OK I feel obligated to try to help you. Seek out the teachings of the Essenes, also called Nazarines. I don't swallow all they're selling, but it all seems to make logical sense. They don't believe in harming any life, thus are vegetarian and won't eat meat. They believe in reincarnation, and are the spiritual branch of the ancient Jewish faith.
