The Russian Strategic Missile Forces have completed the re-equipment of an intercontinental range ballistic missile division with Avangard hypersonic glide vehicles, marking a further expansion of the arsenal of unique strategic nuclear delivery systems. Re-equipment of the division, which is located in the Orenburg region near the Russian-Kazakh border, was confirmed on December 18, 2024. The Avangard vehicle first entered service in December 2019 with the 13th Red Banner Rocket Division, after which the unit reached full strength in 2021. A second unit went on combat alert in mid-2022. The system first began development in the Soviet Union in the 1980s to respond to very large scale American investments in missile defence assets, with work on its development resuming in the mid-2000s in response to Washington’s withdrawal from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. The glide vehicle's scramjet engine design enables it to deliver nuclear strikes at speeds exceeding Mach 27 while retaining high manoeuvrability, which is thought to make it effectively impossible to intercept. Larger Russian ICBMs are estimated to be able to carry up to twelve of the vehicles, allowing each missile to engage twelve separate targets with a large thermonuclear warheads. Poster Comment: This is bigger with longer range and more speed than the Oreshnik. It is also in production. The US has similar things in test phase but by the time it is ready to be built, we will be paying $4 trillion a year in taxes to cover interest on the debt. The Avangard is up to Mach 27. The Oreshnik is Mach 11. It has 6 MIRVs with 6 submunitions each for a total of 36 impact points. It digs a big hole and flames everything nearby at 7,232 degrees F. Rumors are that Putin will be launching more soon. He is building 30 Oreshniks a month just in case NATO tries to invade Ukraine. No data on how many Avangards Russia is making.

I'm not a farmer but I like gardening. The problem I have where I garden at is morning glories. They come up by the thousands literally. Everywhere. This year I did a job and this guy asked me to haul away this big pool tarp. I kept the tarp. I got a piece of plywood and drilled 1 inch holes about every 10 inches or maybe it was 8. Then I used that form and burnt holes in the tarp every 8-10 inches or however they were spaced. Then I planted the corn where the holes were burnt. The corn came up so good. Hardly any weeds. Best corn crop I ever had. I use Silver Queen because it tastes good. Go ahead and tell me how stupid I am for planting Silver Queen. I know it's coming.

Nothing wrong with Silver Queen...if you can fertilize it just right and harvest it from your own garden, as you did. The problem I have with most all hybrid sweet corns is that the emphasis is on sweetness/sugar content. Every variety is advertised as sweeter than what you planted last year. With plenty of opportunity to be disappointed if the growing season is not just right. What I like about the variety I grow is that it always tastes good, with emphasis on flavor, not sweetness. Easy to grow. Seeds are easily saved for next year. Nice!
If I ever get a farm, I will buy seeds from you. I refuse to eat GMO anything.
