The D.C. swamp thought it could ruin former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz’s life by secretly voting to release its ethics report into false allegations about Gaetz having sex with a 17-year-old girl.
Gaetz resigned from Congress after his nomination to serve as Donald Trump’s attorney general failed.
That meant the investigation ended and the report never should have seen the light of day.
But RINOs on the committee loyal to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy wanted scorched-earth revenge on Gaetz for Gaetz successfully ousting McCarthy after McCarthy failed to stand up to Joe Biden in spending negotiations.
Gaetz slammed the move on social media, pointing out that even the weaponized Biden Justice Department found these allegations to be a hoax.
“The Biden/Garland DOJ spent years reviewing allegations that I committed various crimes,” Gaetz posted.
