The Washington Post reports that the 39th US president, Jimmy Carter, passed away on Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia. James E. Carter III, the son of the former president, confirmed that his father passed away earlier today at the age of 100. He was the oldest living US president in history. Although his son confirmed the death, he did not provide an immediate cause. Here's more from WaPo: In a statement in February 2023, the Carter Center said the former president, after a series of hospital stays, would stop further medical treatment and spend his remaining time at home under hospice care. I recall when Carter was POTUS. and the hostages were at the Embassy in Tehran. He sent in the Seals to rescue them. Two of the choppers crashed in the desert and the operation was aborted. :-/

Carter really had things fucked up during his term. As I recall the going rate for a mortgage was ~18% back then. My mother loaned me the money to build my house at ONLY 10%. I think it was about $20,000. Houses were built a lot different in those days. For one, they weren't half the size of a Lowe's store. Some other presents Carter gave us: Gave away the Panama Canal to China. I don't think Carter was a good President. I think he was decent in some ways though.
Regardless, that does not change the fact that you, like Carter, support the killing of children.
