Purple gold is what they call an intermetallic. Kind of like a cross between metal and ceramic. It's not malleable like gold/silver alloys.

I wanted to get Kimmy a purple gold wedding band, like the one in the picture above, for Christmas this year to go with the engagement ring I had made for her last year, but finding one is proving to be challenging, to say the least. By the time I'm done with this quest, I'll have a PhD in metallurgy. I'd like to get this done before one of us dies.

We're most likely to just have a private ceremony of commitment with friends and what little family we have left, rather than a State/Govt wedding. We'd have some pretty severe tax consequences and the estate planning would be a nightmare. We like things the way they are now and are hesitant to mess with that too much.

We want Dakmar to preside over the ceremony, Sling Blade would be my best man and Doc's sister would be the bride's maid.

Kim saw the search I was doing for 'purple gold wedding band for her' when Google popped up the recent searches when she was looking for something yesterday. It was supposed to be a secret, but the cat's out of the bag now.

We want Dakmar to preside over the ceremony, Sling Blade would be my best man and Doc's sister would be the bride's maid.

The after party would be lit. @DJLJ (SB) could be the DJ.

Getting the three of you together in the same place at the same time would be a logistical nightmare though.

Every way possible. I'm still finding new ways. We met at a roller skating rink when we were kids in the 1970s. I was 18, she was 15. We drifted apart when I went east, then way east. She found me through my hospital records just before Thanksgiving 2023. We were apart for 43 or 44 years.

My tax-babe said, "Isn't that against the HIPPA rules?"

I told Christa, "Shit, I've signed so many release forms while I was in treatment and rehab, YOU could call the hospital and have access to them!"

Well... Congrats! It'd be an honor to attend but any wedding locations within any of the 50 US states or federal territories may mean the ceremony would need to be held in a fed detention center as that may be where they drag me after they arrest me at the airport.

I mean, hell, I'm sure I've made them angrier than any J6er peon has.

But maybe a virtual presence would work!
