The US military deployed the THAAD air defense system in Israel in October this year, as Tel Aviv felt the lack of its own air defenses. The system's main target is the Houthi missiles that periodically attack the Jewish state.
Military Watch writes that on December 26, militants from the Ansar Allah group once again struck Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The missile was shot down, but MW expressed doubt that the missile was intercepted by the THAAD system: an interceptor missile of the Israeli defense system was also in action.

A billion dollars worth of missiles cannot stop a missile launched by a Third World country copying what Iran gave them.
