In the latest episode of the UK policing free speech, a man was arrested for posting a meme reshaping the trans pride flag into a swastika.

His crime? “Causing anxiety.”

Yes, anxiety. Another man was arrested for filming the arrest.

Because apparently, recording bad policing is worse than actual crimes these days.

Meanwhile, burglaries go unanswered, but meme posters?

Straight to jail.

Free speech?

Not in the UK, where feelings trump freedoms.

When Pam Bondi becomes US Attorney General, no American will be deported for hurting the feelings of street thugs in Britain. As an American, I will never travel to Europe until they change their laws making speech a crime. I could wind up in a prison with this elderly gentleman.

(But I am disturbed about protests against Israel being treated as criminal.)
