US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken insisted on the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine in 2022, the New York Times writes.
"At the end of 2022, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, proposed that Ukraine <...> started negotiations with Moscow. However, Blinken insisted on continuing the fighting," the publication says.
The article notes that he often opposed less determined Pentagon officials in favor of sending powerful American weapons to Ukraine.
