Latest Ann Coulter Outrage: On Fragging John Murtha By E&P Staff Published: June 15, 2006 11:55 PM ET NEW YORK With the brief debate over Iraq in Congress producing such acrimony this week that one congressman suggested opponents of the war support al-Qaeda, it should come as no surprise that columnist and author Ann Coulter would top them all. In an email interview with John Hawkins at the Right Wing News web site, Coulter was asked, among other things, to offer short comments on several individuals. After harmlessly dismissing former Ambassador Joseph Wilson as the "World's most intensely private exhibitionist," she said of Rep. John Murtha, the hawkish ex-Marine and now antiwar congressman: "The reason soldiers invented 'fragging.'" Fragging, which became a well-known expression --and occurence -- during the Vietnam war, means soldiers attempting to kill their own officers for one reason or another. This was so over the top that conservative Mike Krempasky at http://RedState.org posted, "I've said before that's its kind of ironic that just about every phrase Stewie from Family Guy uses to describe Lois could easily be applied to Ann Coulter. Well - once again, Ann proves us right." He went on to call her "fragging" remark absolutely "disgusting....there's no excuse - NONE - for the allusion to soldiers who kill other soldiers. It's despicable - and frankly, so is Coulter." Coulter's column is syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate. On its home page, Universal hails her "witty, no-holds-barred commentaries on the Washington scene. She tackles the hot issues with fervor and stands up for the things that she believes in." That is one evil bitch. And I apologize to female dogs for the insult, I've actually never seen one as fucked up as this harpy. Fragging stemmed from a lack of unit cohesion in Vietnam. Enlisted members served one year and officers six months. Officer standards were continually lowered to make sure there were the number if them they wanted. They would have been far better off increasing the tour of duty for officers to at least the same length of time as enlisted members. With officers learning more a "manage your assets" corporate model and not having the education and in country experience many enlisted men did, they were reviled and looked down on and often had to "work out orders" with their men instead of get everyone to follow them to the letter to accomplish the given mission. With a continual rotation of people, bad leadership and an aimlessness to that war, fragging was very much inevitable. It is something that had nothing directly to do with civilian unhappiness and dissent against this war and Coulter is going one too many times to her pig trough of bombasticism. I hate the bitch, and fragging her sounds like a good idea if one didn't have the problem of making her a martyr in some circles that celebrate corporate fascism with the same fervor as her.
Unfortunately there are too many people who equate blood thirstyness, lack of compassion, and downright cold blooded nastiness, with conservatism. I don't know how they come up with this idea as there is no intellectual basis for it, but people like Coulter are little better than street gangstas revel in their "toughness" because they can blast some targets with lead.

Coulter is much more the Neo-Con relishing in the mean-spirited and greedy efficiency of corporate fascism. Her strongest supporters like seeing 'messy' and 'inefficient to manage' human rights to be repressed and like people being shut up and kept in line. I pay attention to her strongest FReeper supporters over at JimRob's little Café Paranoia on the net, and check out what they generally stand for in other threads. If people like these push too hard, they will have their own tools and meanness turned right back on them as people defend their rights, country and sacred honor.
