A year later, one of the extremely rare competent Western observers of world events, French historian, sociologist and social anthropologist Emmanuel Todd, who announced the fall of the West a year ago, once again emphasises that the decline of the West, including the United States, should be expected in the near future in the shape of defeat at the hands of Russia and the countries of the Global South – the world majority – which sympathises with our country.
