In a recent directive, President Donald Trump has authorized Elon Musk to recruit 45 new agents for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

These agents, selected at Musk’s discretion, are tasked with auditing key federal agencies, including the FBI, CIA, and the Pentagon. The initiative aims to identify and eliminate substantial instances of fraud and abuse within these institutions.

President Trump expressed his expectations for the initiative during a recent interview, stating that he anticipates Musk’s team will uncover “hundreds of billions of dollars in fraud and abuse” within the Pentagon alone.
