SHOCK: The U.S. Army has diverted over $151 million meant for soldiers’ food, according to the Military Times.

Financial records show that more than half of the money collected from junior enlisted troops was spent elsewhere.

Food fund allocations at select Army bases:

• Fort Stewart, Georgia: $17 million collected, $2.1 million spent on food

• Fort Drum, New York: $18.2 million collected, $3.9 million spent on food

• Fort Carson, Colorado: $22 million collected, $5 million spent on food

• Fort Riley, Kansas: $19.1 million collected, $5.1 million spent on food

• Fort Bliss, Texas: $22 million collected, $11 million spent on food

• Fort Cavazos, Texas: $42.5 million collected, $11.7 million spent on food

• Fort Bragg, North Carolina: $34.6 million collected, $16.6 million spent on food

• Fort Campbell, Kentucky: $18 million collected, $5.1 million spent on food

Army officials refused to disclose where the missing funds went, despite growing concerns about food shortages on bases.

Soldiers require sufficient meals with adequate caloric intake and nutrition. Meanwhile, taxpayers demand that their funds are spent on what the U.S. government claims they are being spent on.

The Pentagon continues to be in need of reform. The DOGE's audit of the Department of Defense should be an informative one, since it has failed seven audits in a row.

Poster Comment:

Hopefully, the DOGE audit will get to the chow line as it does have money and that can be traced.

I was fascinated by this video (there's a longer version) considering all that beef they use daily...

Something tells me the Armed Forces are not presently being well fed...based on the missing money.

I haven't been on the mess deck since February 18th 1999. When we docked at Portsmouth England in '97 all the beef we had onboard was confiscated by the limeys, we ate a lot of chicken after that. Both of the Mess Specialists were blacks, they knew their way around chicken flesh. Fired up the incubator today, going to wait until after the latest cold snap rolls through before I load it.

Dirty, stinkin' limeys! Why did they do that? HOW were they allowed to do that. Lot's of questions :-0

My flock of 22 is producing 7 eggs/day...no light...temps average in the teens.

Good luck with the incubator. I don't think egg supplies are coming back...could be wrong but the momentum is not in a positive direction.

It was the mad cow scare, in '99 I was on a bag of heparin blood thinner to try and reattach finger (no joy) that was bovine based next day they pulled it and replaced with ovine based. While the nurse was changing them I asked if the reason was because of mad cow she said oh, you know about that.

I've been running average fifteen a day from 26 hens. Boxed 20 eggs yesterday, seven medium 52 to 56 grams, thirteen large and up 57 to 74 grams. I've never added artificial light, no power at coops.

We were in upper 60s today but looks like we may have a cold one next week. Lows here low to mid forties. I have no problems selling mine. I'm looking to sell hatchlings this year.

So, because of the mad cow scare, a bunch of Brits can board a US ship and take the beef? No way!

to try and reattach finger (no joy)

Now wait just a John Wayne minute. How did your finger become detached?

Has to do with clearing Customs, we sailed straight from Rota Spain to Ingleside Texas there was a dumpster on the pier for every piece of produce and animal products, it all went to an incinerator.

Actually half of a ring finger at joint before the tip and middle finger just before the joint six hours to sew it on one hour to take it back off. There was a misunderstanding with a radial arm saw. I sign language to deaf stenographers; everything is done in shorthand.
