Nicol Suarez, a 30-year-old transgender migrant from Colombia, has been arrested in New York City for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy in the bathroom of Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem. The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, with Suarez being apprehended following the attack. Following the alleged assault, the boy "flagged down a witness," according to the outlet. The outlet reports that Suarez was wanted in New Jersey and Massachusetts at the time of the arrest. It's unclear why. "ICE could just pick this person up and deport them back. But due to our sanctuary laws we can’t do anything," a source told the Post. Suarez was charged with first-degree r*pe. Prosecutors requested $500,000 bail and $1.5 million bond; however, liberal Judge Elizabeth Shamahs lowered the amounts to $100,000 bail or $250,000 bond.
