The moment a congressman’s career ends, his service to the public should, in theory, be complete. His time as a steward of the people’s trust should conclude with a record of upholding national interest over personal gain. But in Washington, careers don’t end—they simply transition from the public sector to the private, often in the most lucrative way possible. The so-called "revolving door" between government and the defense industry is not just an open secret; it is a machine of power, profit, and quiet corruption. Not quite.

He could have gotten off with resigning and doing 6 months in jail but took the case to its limits. ;)
